My name’s Abby and I’m a writer, editor and producer based in London. I spent many summers basking in the warm glow of Ibiza in summertime but eventually the unavoidable pull for early nights and warm beverages got the better of me. Now I’m back in Brixton, though neither in bed nor drinking tea anywhere near as much as I’d like.
I’ve had many touchstones to my career — editorial, copywriting, presenting, production, social media and PR, but all leads back to the realisation that storytelling is where my heart resides. Whether that’s in print, online, on film or in audio, my forte lies in chronicling the experiences of others (and in the process, of course, myself).
My primary focus is probably travel, but I also write extensively about music, design and modern culture for titles including SUITCASE, the Daily Telegraph, Condé Nast Traveller and GQ. I have a host of diverse copywriting clients, and I co-founded Strange Company, an agency specialising in tailored content creation using a combination of words, pictures and video. We’ve produced a series of films documenting subjects like the unimaginable beauty of Scotland in winter, the inclusivity of WOMAD festival and recently, the Abode Project in Uganda.
If you’d like to commission me to write something, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, and cc my mum, who still doesn’t doesn’t understand my job.
